Hnaha WOW this turned out AWESOME!!!!! I LOVE the lighting effects, especially all the reflected colors. I also love how well you captured the style of the characters so spot-on. Definitely one of your best pieces to date.

It's interesting how my high school classes taught me US History... I had to learn on my own that it wasn't the Declaration of Independence signed in 1776 that made us an independent nation, but the Treaty of Paris signed in 1783. Also that it wasn't the Emancipation Proclamation that abolished slavery, but the 13th Amendment.

As for the Emancipation...do y'think the Amendment would've come around WITHOUT it? The base cause is what abolishes it.

It does seem likely that the US' independence and the abolition of slavery would never have come about without their respective propositions. I'm not saying that the Declaration and Proclamation were insignificant documents. They were just the catalysts that got the ball rolling.
